The Director of the Department of Electronic Communications, of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, would like to invite the submission of applications to the contest (auction) for the authorization of the radiofrequency band 2100 MHz for the establishment and operation of electronic communications network for the provision of electronic communications services in Cyprus.
Through this contest one (1) Radio Authorization will be offered to the market which includes the radio spectrum specified in the table below:

Uplink Spectrum
(terminal station transmission)
Downlink Spectrum
(base station transmission)
2100 MHz
2x15 MHz
1965-1980 MHz
2155-2170 MHz
More information can be found in the contest documents and the official notification, which can be downloaded from the links below. Please note that the documents are available in Greek language.
The contest documents set out the general framework for conducting of the auction process, the criteria that must be satisfied by the interested entity so as to be entitled to apply (eligibility criteria), the criteria that must be met by applicants (selection criteria) so as to become qualified bidders entitled to participate in the auction, the post auction requirements, the policy and regulation framework and the conditions governing the Radiocommunications Authorization.
