Public Consultation on the Amendment of the Radiocommunications (Radioequipment) Regulations 2016

The Director of the Department of Electronic Communications, of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy announces the start of a public consultation for the amendment of the Radiocommunications (Radioequipment) Regulations 2016. The aim of this amendment is the partial harmonization of Directive (EU) 2024/2749, which establishes new procedures and specifications for the management of critical situations, the acceleration of compliance procedures, the strengthening of market surveillance, as well as the promotion of the availability of critical radio equipment, which amends, among others, Directive 2014/53/EU, known as the Radio Equipment Directive (RED).
